The tutorial is easy to follow, and an equally perfect project for a beginner knitter or for someone who needs something quick to work on (I probably could have completed the project during a few episodes of netflix or hulu binging). The bunny is done in garter stitch (knit every row), and the gauge is unimportant as the bunny is built from a square you have knit. The bigger the yarn and needles, the bigger the bunny will be. I happened to have an orphan, label-less skein of soft, bulky yarn, and used size 10 needles.
The ears (two corners of the square) and head are formed by using a running stitch and cinching the fabric together; the head is stuffed before it is cinched close (the tutorial has a great diagram of this part). The body is formed by sewing two sides of the fabric down the back and cinching the lower hem tightly into a circle (like finishing the top of a hat). I added a pompom out of the same yarn, and a ribbon to hide the bulkiness of the neck.

It's so cute! I've been intimidated by all the adorable knitted and crocheted animals, but this looks like something I could actually do.
